Did you notice my arch nemesis Soft Sky?! But ya know what, I didn’t fight him. I went with the flow. We’re not chummy by any means but at least it wasn’t a throw down this time! ๐Ÿ™‚

Blackberry Bliss

I got a little “stampy” with this one… Ok, I got a LOT stampy!ย  I used three different sets, Really Good Greetings, Butterfly Basics, and Beautiful Bunch. When I went to stamp my fern I accidentally stamped it into the Blackberry Bliss and without realizing it Stamped it into the Smoky Slate. The picture doesn’t show it too well but I got a multicolored fern that looks pretty cool. I just hope I didn’t forever ruin the ink pad!

Happy Memorial Day. It has been a nice and relaxing weekend but my family and I know and remember why we celebrate this holiday. We thank all that have served and are currently serving. What a privilege it is to be an American!

It has been awhile since I joined in on a challenge and I thought I’d try the Pals Paper Arts. Here is the sketch Challenge. You can join along at: www.palspaperarts.com.ย

Anywho, I started with the three strips of paper on the right added my sentiment and then decided that I hated it! So I started to rip the strips up and I sat back and thought “wow, those really look like the noise makers you see at birthday parties”… So I decided to roll them up a little further and voila! I left them. I thought they went with the sentiment of the card. A wee bit of a celebration. ๐Ÿ™‚ The Gorgeous Grunge under the sentiment reminded me of confetti and I just went with it!

I hope you like it. I am really enjoying these new in colors!

Hello Everyone! This week I saw a lot of cute cards on Pinterest and I noticed they all had the same layout. I knew I had to get to the bottom of it! I learned of a challenge by Freshly Made Sketches and I knew that I had to play along! Check it out here:ย  http://freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com/

This is a 5×5 card. The base is Basic Gray card stock with one of my new favorites, Strawberry Slush. I layered the sentiment (Really Good Greetings) onto two doilies from the Perfect Pennants Die Cut. I topped it off with the Basic Gray Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon.

Anywho, I hope you like it!

I miss you already… scalloped ribbon (sniff sniff)

Ever since school started my crafting time has dwindled. NOOOOOO!!! I have got to get back on track for my sanity’s sake!ย  Luckily my amazing upline, Christina Crawford, came to the rescue with a great idea. She mailed everyone in our swap group a blank card made with the Thinlits Card Die and challenged us all to come up with something.

This is what I came up with, using melon mambo (naturally!) and the Gingham Garden DSP.ย  I used the Really Good Greetings stamp set and topped it off with the Melon Mambo Scalloped Ribbon. I was sad when Stampin’ Up retired itย  because it was my favorite and naturally I am very greedy with it! The friend who gets this card can consider themselves LOVED!ย ย  ๐Ÿ˜‰
