Greetings! It is color challenge time at Create with Connie and Mary!
You may be wondering about the title of this post… Have you ever made something and thought it looked great but when you saw a picture of it you realized it wasn’t so awesome after all?
Not to say that I don’t like the card but I regret my foliage. It blends right into the background. I should have stamped on it or even used DSP to break it up a bit but I promise it doesn’t look like this so much in person! 😉
Thanks for stopping by today! And if you’ve noticed a few more typos than usual I’m sorry about that. I got a new computer and these keys are stiff as all get out! Hope you get a chance to play along this week, pop on over to Create with Connie and Mary!
Hello fine friends! It is color challenge time this week at Create with Connie and Mary! This is such a pretty color combo! Here is what I came up with:
My DSP background is from the Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper Stack. I love love love all the designs of this DSP! I ran my top strip of card stock through the Big Shot using the Honeycomb embossing folder. I like how it mimics the honeycomb pattern of the paper. My sentiment is from Perfect Pennants and I used the ever so useful Handheld Stapler to attach a strip of Pool Party.
Seriously, I love that thing! It is powerful enough to staple through some pretty thick stuff and gentle enough for the more fragile. Anywho, thanks for stopping by. I hope you’ll pop on over to see the other designer’s cards at Create with Connie and Mary. They will provide you with great ideas and EYE CANDY! 😉 It’s sure to get your creative groove going so come along and play with us!
It’s another color challenge at Create with Connie and Mary!
This was a fun one but I am not going to say a lot about my card on this post. Not because I don’t want to but because I hurt so bad from gardening all day! It hurts to just sit here. Good grief! But I will say that my flower bed looks much better. 🙂
I used the Perfect Pennant stamp set for this one along with the star framelits. Did you miss the cool Notebook DSP in the catalog? Got cha! I made this cute notebook paper lookalike easily with my Spiral Border Punch and Stampin’ Write Markers! I used a piece of 3.25″ x 4″ card stock and ran a fine line vertically with Calypso Coral and make a horizontal line every quarter of an inch. And that’s all she wrote! 🙂
This little cutie is for my dear friend Becca. Just a 3×3 to let her know that I was thinking of her and of course I used the Punch Board to make a coordinating envelope. The “hello” comes from the Perfect Pennants stamp set and I used the Banners Framelits.
The card stock is the Baked Brown Sugar (I always want to call it burnt brown sugar, that doesn’t sound very appetizing does it?!) and I stamped with the wood grain back ground stamp and put a layer of vellum on it to soften it up a bit. The little bling is from the gold sequence trim.
So there you go. Easy Peasy three by threesee. Yes, I am the dork that said that! Ha!

Happy Easter Everyone!
It has been a few days since I posted. We went on spring break to the Outer Banks. All was well minus the one day of 48 degree weather. It was so COLD and just thinking about the wind makes me want to crawl under a blanket! But it was fun and a good get away.
So here is a simple card using the Perfect Pennants stamp set. I stamped the circle first with the Hello Doily background stamp in Crisp Cantaloupe then stamped the sentiment on top in Soft Suede. Easy peasy one, two, threesy! 😉
My next post will be a cute card box that I made. Stay tuned for more!
No Seriously, do you see Waldo? I did an overlay of text in red. This is why I don’t post every day. So far my stamping career hasn’t been able to cover house maids so I have to wait until I get the courage to face messes like these! On the desk is a card for today’s post. As promised, it is the same color combo as before, the ever lovely Coastal Cabana and Strawberry Slush!
I used the new Perfect Pennants stamp set, a little bit of Georgeous Grunge, and the SAB goodies, Banner Blast avec the Banner Punch.

It has been a loooong time since I posted and shared. I bet you can guess what one of my New Year’s resolutions is! 😉 But trust me, I have an excuse. I just found out that we are expecting! So there ya have it, big news on the home front!!
I am trying to get back into the swing of things. I have a new swap coming up and I was needing some inspiration so I decided to try the Create with Connie and Mary Challenge (CCMC283 – Sketch Challenge).
It got my mojo going and I came up with this “hello love” card using the new stamp sets Perfect Pennants and Banner Blast. Also, the Banner Punch is going to be in the next annual catalog so get yours while the gettin’s good!
and as I post this 2 hours until midnight let me just say:
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
Ever since school started my crafting time has dwindled. NOOOOOO!!! I have got to get back on track for my sanity’s sake! Luckily my amazing upline, Christina Crawford, came to the rescue with a great idea. She mailed everyone in our swap group a blank card made with the Thinlits Card Die and challenged us all to come up with something.
This is what I came up with, using melon mambo (naturally!) and the Gingham Garden DSP. I used the Really Good Greetings stamp set and topped it off with the Melon Mambo Scalloped Ribbon. I was sad when Stampin’ Up retired it because it was my favorite and naturally I am very greedy with it! The friend who gets this card can consider themselves LOVED! 😉

We all start somewhere and so here I am. I am trying to learn the ropes of blogging and I’m not quite sure how to make this work. Most of the blogs I see are so organized. How do I get those cute little tabs? I guess I’ll just keep pushing buttons until something happens.
That’s how I got this far. 🙂
We just moved and I needed something in my craft room to get me motivated and I came up with this banner.
I used Stampin’ Up!’s Perfect Pennants die cut, along with the Stampin’ Up! glimmer paper, coastal cabana and my personal favorite (and name sake of this blog!) melon mambo.
