Hey everybody! Doesn’t it seem like not too long ago I said there were only 9 Thursdays until Christmas? Eeeek It’s almost here and I am not even close to being ready! So to keep my mind off of it I did NOT do a Christmas card! Ever try to use reverse psychology on yourself?! Ha! 😀
Here is this week’s sketch at Create with Connie and Mary:
I worked with Blushing Bride and Basic Black this week and I like how it turned out! But then again, what color doesn’t look good with black?! But you know I’m a pink girl through and through!
I used Watercolor Words for my sentiment (my new fav!) along with the Hello You thinlits. I layered the thinlit with the silver foil sheet but I think you can see it better in this shot:
I hope that you have a chance to play along this week! Stop by Create with Connie and Mary and see the other designer’s wonderful takes on this sketch, you’re bound to be inspired!
It is color challenge time at Create with Connie and Mary friends! This week I naturally could not help but think of the holidays with this trio:
I’m finding that I really like Mossy Meadow and I’m learning that it is really a versatile color. It pairs nicely with a lot of things you wouldn’t necessarily think to put it with but for now here is my card. It is simple and fun (no pun! Ha!).
My layout this week comes from a challenge from Sweet Sunday sketch challenge. I thought a tag was the way to go with this one so I just played and came up with this number.
Thanks for stopping by! Pop on over to Create with Connie and Mary to play along with this fun color combo! It’s destined to get your creative mojo going! 🙂
Hello and Happy Thanksgiving friends!
It’s sketch challenge time at Create with Connie and Mary!
I really like this sketch and I had a vision right away of doing something clean and simple. The vision also had the Sheltering Tree stamp set. Ugh… I have another confession this week. I don’t have that stamp! I’ve always wanted it but never got around to getting it so I improvised with the Thoughts and Prayers set.
The tree top unfortunately doesn’t extend very high on this stamp so I VERY carefully inked the top portion of the branches with my Stamp n’ Write markers and stamped.. My sentiment is from the tried and true Teeny Tiny Wishes. My layered card stock is Cajun Craze. I realized that I haven’t used it in such a long time and it’s a shame because it is a great fall color!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I hope that you all have a wonderful holiday! My neighbors and friends have husbands that are serving over seas this holiday season so I am having them and their families over tomorrow to celebrate. I have been one busy bee but I’m so excited! I’ve already explained to my daughter that child labor laws do not apply at home! Ha! 😉
I hope you get some time to craft this weekend and if you do come play along with us at Create with Connie and Mary!
Hello crafty friends! I’m here with a color challenge from Create with Connie and Mary and I’m happy to report that I am feeling MUCH better thanks to some good ol’ antibiotics!
Isn’t this a pretty trio?! I may have cheated just a wee bit but honestly, is it that glaring to you?
So there is no Elegant Eggplant in my Bohemian DSP, but I like it I dare say! I also like the chevron paired with the Boho Chic embossing folder. It just gives it a Southwestern look to me for some reason. I added some linen thread to add to the feel and topped off my sentiment with a flower from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack but in this instance we’ll call it a desert rose. 😉
And there you have it! Thanks for stopping by. I hope you’ll come play along with this week’s color challenge at Create with Connie and Mary and if you cheat on your paper, I won’t tell a soul! 🙂
Hey friends! It is sketch challenge time at Create with Connie and Mary. Here is this week’s sketch:
I’m afraid that I have to make this post super short. I’ve been really under the weather this week. I’m not feeling well. I went to the doctor today and got some meds and should be back to my usual self pretty soon.
Thanks for stopping by! Be sure to play along this week and check out the other designer’s creations at Create with Connie and Mary! 🙂
Happy Thursday! It’s color challenge time over at Create with Connie and Mary!
Would you please look at this color combo?! BEAUTIFUL! Timeless and classic! So here is what I came up with:
I stamped using the Smokey Slate for my sentiment and it looks so much like pencil writing! Love it! When I went to make this card I looked at my desk and saw the card that I used for my holiday catalog swap and I just copied that layout (will share soon!). Fun and easy!
The supply list for this card is minimal so I just put them in the tag section. Thanks for stopping by! Be sure to hop on over to Create with Connie and Mary and check out the other designer’s cards! I’m sure you can’t help but want to play with this color combo so come on and join the fun! 🙂
Well happy FRIDAY! I hope you haven’t fallen over. It’s true, I’m posting more than once this week but I had to share these cute bags I made using the Gift Bag Punch Board. I decided to make some cute treat bags for some teachers at my daughter’s school. I used old and new supplies and I’m happy with the way everything came out!
These are super easy to make and fun! And I’m thinking they’ll like the Ferrero Rocher chocolates inside. 😉 Thanks for stopping by! Think ahead friends and make your own bags for Christmas! Shop with me for your supplies here!
Here is a great tutorial on how to make the gift bag topper!
I know that I constantly talk about the time warp that I seem to be stuck in BUT honestly, can you really believe that Halloween is this weekend?! I mean that truly is scary!! AHHHHH!!!!! But soon friends… soon day light savings time will be here (please know that I am actually smiling as I type this) and we will get an extra hour of sleep! 😀
But alas, t’is not here yet and I have a new sketch challenge to share from Create with Connie and Mary!
Looks easy right? Sure… I thought the same thing. Then I sat down (stood up and sat back down about 12 more times) before I came up with my card.
My little ghosts look a bit ominous, don’t you think? That’s thanks to the Among the Branches set! I used simple oval punches to create the ghosts bodies. I played with the paper a bit on this one. This is some of my favorite Halloween DSP ever and I think I’m not the only one that feels this way. I went to order some more not too long ago and it was on back order.
And that’s all folks! I hope you feel inspired to play along. Check out the other designer’s cards for some creative inspiration at Create with Connie and Mary!
And last but not least, I hope you have a very great, safe, and spooky Halloween! 😀
Happy Thursday Friends! I don’t mean to freak you out BUT… Can you believe there are only NINE Thursdays left before Christmas?!?!?! EEEEK! I’ve started some shopping but I’m usually a lot further ahead than I am now. I digress, let’s talk color darling. Without further adieu checkout out the color challenge at Create with Connie and Mary this week!
I just can’t help but think of nature when looking at this trio so here is what I came up with:
I played around with different stamp sets and finally decided on a trio of Kinda Eclectic, Butterfly Basics, and Papillon Potpourri. This is clean, simple, and without any bling I dare say. I did use the Bitty Butterfly Punch to give my winged friend some dimension.
And that’s all she wrote! Stop on by Create with Connie and Mary to join in. Be sure to check out the other designer’s cards for some awesomely creative ideas! 🙂 Thanks for stopping by! I hope you enjoy your Thursday and remember, only a few Thursdays are left until Christmas so join the fun and play along!
Hello there! It’s that time again! Sketch challenge time at Create with Connie and Mary. Don’t let this simple sketch fool you. This was one of the hardest for me yet!
So I played and played and came up with this monstrosity. I supposed it’s OK to be a monstrosity when it’s a Halloween card. I stamped some Gorgeous Grunge on the banner but you can’t see it in the light for some reason.
I also inked up the sides a bit. Speaking of ink. I also used a sponge dauber and inked the trees using craft ink. I kind of wish that my washi tape was yellow. It just makes me think of the police caution tape which would definitely lend a creepy feel! ha!
Thanks for stopping by! Be sure to stop by Create with Connie and Mary and see what the other designers came up with!
