Never Say Goodbye

A couple of weeks ago I said that some changes were coming and so they are.  This will be my last go around with this designing crew and let me tell you that it has been a pleasure and a blast! So this card is for them! Merci beaucoup to Connie and Mary for the opportunity! Thank you fellow designers for all of your wonderful inspiration!

Truly, the timing was just meant to be. We just found that we will be moving in a bit. My husband is in the USMC and that is part of it so it looks like it is back to the D.C. area for us.

But in all honesty that’s not all. I am not going to say that I have lost my zeal for stamping. That will never be! I super love stamping and all crafting and I plan on adding a lot more to my blog because of that. But… with Stampin’ Up! I feel a little lost. My upline has left the company putting me to her upline which is frankly so huge she never even responded to my emails. There has been no communication and I mean zilch. That is not to down Stampin’ Up!.  I clearly LOVE their products and they are, in my opinion, the BEST! But in my particular situation I feel that I fell through the cracks which leaves me questioning things. But again, I do not question their products because they are unparalleled. I’m sorry if I digress,

here is the sketch challenge for this week:

So, naturally I had to use Melon Mambo – think pink ink, right? 😉 I used the Fun Flower punch, which come on, it’s clearly a Clematis. hehe! I peeled the layers to give it some volume. I did the same with the Pansy punch. I used the Bird Builder punch for my little leaves. Don’t know if you can tell but it is glimmer paper under the sentiment. I stink at capturing the sparkle!

I stamped off the Hardwood stamp and applied in Craft ink to the Basic Black. I think that it lends some visual interest without being too fussy. I stamped it a couple of times just because I wanted to see what it would do.  🙂 The center of my flowers are the basic black buttons and that’s about it!

Thanks for stopping by! ❤

And you know that I can’t leave you without a musical reference. My second crush… My first was Ponch on Chips. Hahah! Oh the things we admit behind a keyboard! 😀

  1. It has been so FUN being on the design team with you, Bridgette! I also wish you well as you move, and follow a different path on your stamping journey. I sure am glad you will continue to stamp and blog!
Your card is a lovely way to say goodbye. Those hot pink “clematis” really pop against the background. ((((hugs))))

  2. What gorgeous volume in your flowers! They are a big “wow!” And what a great look you have achieved with Hardwood in Craft White on the background! I will surely miss seeing your clean and cheerful cards in our gallery, but of course, I will continue to follow you online! Best wishes with your move!

  3. We will miss you! I understand about losing your upline…happened to me along the way and I was NEVER contacted by ANYONE after she quit. I was left hanging and had to find my own way. I did that by searching out people whose style I loved and I fought my way through. I do not have a big business. Just enough to keep me going. I love stamping, but like you, am losing my interest somewhat because of all the changes and the image choices have not sparked my creativity. I’m hanging in/on and will do my best. I wish you all the best in your move and your creative choices! Love your card this week!

  4. It has been a pleasure being on the Create with Connie and Mary team with you Bridgette! You are a talented stamper, for sure and I’ll miss seeing your creations every week. Best wishes to you in your move and whatever craft direction you choose to go in! I do have to say, you knocked this last challenge out of the park!!!! I love those big, pink Clematis!!! 😉

  5. What gorgeous flowers Bridgette – a perfect ‘think pink’ farewell! I will miss your creative cards and witty posts each week and will be sure to pop by from time to time. I hope your move goes well and you have my sympathies with regard to your upline. I love Stampin’ Up! products too but my upline is absent and the recent compensation plan changes have made these issues even more pronounced, which is such a shame. The model is too inflexible to accommodate these changes and have a positive outcome for all. I’m sure you’ll find a way to make things work for you, with or without SU! in your life. Best wishes and good luck!
