Happy New Year!

Oh my my my! Happy new year friends! I hope that you’ve had a great holiday season! Let’s start off this holiday with a little trivia… Though it is a holiday I am not posting a New Year’s card because:

A. I only have one small New Year’s stamp. B. My anniversary is in February so I am stock piling some love cards. C. All of the above.

Can you guess?! Hahaha! C of course! Though it is New Year’s Eve we are still enjoying Christmas. My mother-in-law just got here and we are celebrating Christmas in the morning with presents and another feast. Oh my, you cannot imagine my calorie consumption these past few weeks! Let’s just not go here. Instead, let’s talk about this week’s fun sketch challenge at Create with Connie and Mary!

I got a new computer for Christmas and for some reason my picture seems huge and is somewhat like a punch in the eye. I’m sorry if it is appearing this way to you. Not sure how to fix this quite yet. Though I should throw in the disclaimer that I cannot be responsible or liable for any injury this photo may cause. Ha! ๐Ÿ˜‰

I used the Friendly Wishes stamp set for my sentiment. Love that set! My color palette is easy breezy with my neutrals and Watermelon Wonder. The color is kind of growing on me. It’s not pink, not red or orange. Tell me, WHAT IS IT?!

Thank you for stopping by! I’m wishing for a prosperous and Happy New Year for you all! If you have the time stop by and join in on the fun at Create with Connie and Mary! There are a lot of creative ideas that will inspire you from the other designers! Celebrate, be safe, and best wishes!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas crafty friends! The color challenge is classy this week at Create with Connie and Mary as you can see!

I decided to keep mine simple because of the large gold foil panel.ย  I stamped right on the foil using StazOn ink. and added just a wee bit of stripped paper from the Neutrals Color Collection DSP.

Thanks for stopping by! Be sure to check out the other designer’s cards at Create with Connie and Mary. Their work is sooo very pretty and inspiring! Merry Christmas to you all and many wishes for a very happy new year!!

Hey everybody! Doesn’t it seem like not too long ago I said there were only 9 Thursdays until Christmas? Eeeek It’s almost here and I am not even close to being ready! So to keep my mind off of it I did NOT do a Christmas card! Ever try to use reverse psychology on yourself?! Ha! ๐Ÿ˜€

Here is this week’s sketch at Create with Connie and Mary:

I worked with Blushing Bride and Basic Black this week and I like how it turned out! But then again, what color doesn’t look good with black?! But you know I’m a pink girl through and through!

I used Watercolor Words for my sentiment (my new fav!) along with the Hello You thinlits. I layered the thinlit with the silver foil sheet but I thinkย  you can see it better in this shot:

I hope that you have a chance to play along this week! Stop by Create with Connie and Mary and see the other designer’s wonderful takes on this sketch, you’re bound to be inspired!

Oh, What Fun!

It is color challenge time at Create with Connie and Mary friends! This week I naturally could not help but think of the holidays with this trio:

I’m finding that I really like Mossy Meadow and I’m learning that it is really a versatile color. It pairs nicely with a lot of things you wouldn’t necessarily think to put it with but for now here is my card. It is simple and fun (no pun! Ha!).

My layout this week comes from a challenge from Sweet Sunday sketch challenge. I thought a tag was the way to go with this one so I just played and came up with this number.

Thanks for stopping by! Pop on over to Create with Connie and Mary to play along with this fun color combo! It’s destined to get your creative mojo going! ๐Ÿ™‚
