What a Treat!

Well, I had to do it. I just HAD to get the Mini Treat Bag Thinlit in the Occasions catalog. But I will say this… I am glad that I did! I love this little booger! It’s on page 9 of the catalog. If you don’t have one let me know and I’ll get one to you.

Some Designer Series Paper I hoard. I know that it sounds ridiculous but at times I feel that it is just too pretty to use. This little bag that I made is a prime example. I used DSP that I have been hoarding for many many moons. But, I said enough with the madness and used it and I’m so glad that I did!

I cut two pieces of DSP out to use with the Thinlit. One 6″x6″ and the other 6″x3″. I just used the multi-purpose liquid glue to hold the bag in place and it did great. The little heart below the sentiment is actually from the owl punch. I use that little guy for so many different things!

This treat bag was for Belle’s teacher for their Valentine’s party so we put a little message inside with a Ghiradelli chocolate square in the bag.

To get the cute little tab on the message I just used a small scrap of the DSP and used my bone folder to curve it. I used the new Handheld Stapler on page 21 of the Occasions catalog to attach it. I have really come to rely on this thing. It staples through many layers just as easily as a single one.

So there you have it, a CUTE little gift bag that is easy to make. And really it can pull double duty. The receiver can use it again to give to someone else once they take their personal message out. The gift that keeps on giving folks!

If you’re interested in owning one of these cool doo-hickies get it here!
