Happy Memorial Day. It has been a nice and relaxing weekend but my family and I know and remember why we celebrate this holiday. We thank all that have served and are currently serving. What a privilege it is to be an American!
It has been awhile since I joined in on a challenge and I thought I’d try the Pals Paper Arts. Here is the sketch Challenge. You can join along at: www.palspaperarts.com.
Anywho, I started with the three strips of paper on the right added my sentiment and then decided that I hated it! So I started to rip the strips up and I sat back and thought “wow, those really look like the noise makers you see at birthday parties”… So I decided to roll them up a little further and voila! I left them. I thought they went with the sentiment of the card. A wee bit of a celebration. 🙂 The Gorgeous Grunge under the sentiment reminded me of confetti and I just went with it!
I hope you like it. I am really enjoying these new in colors!
Hello There! Are you a paper hoarder like me? Does any of this paper look familiar to you? It may not because it is quite a few years old and it has been sitting in my secret stash of scraps. I just cannot purge. It is too much to bare! So… I decided to use them! These cute note cards are all made from scratch paper, even the card stock was scratch. I hereby announce that not one single sheet of 8.5 x 11 card stock was cut!
The stamps are all current though. We have the Four Frames, Petite Pairs, and Teeny Tiny Wishes.
I made a little gift box for someone and put a couple of these cute numbers in there. I took the pic of the box in a hurry with my cell phone and the picture is so awful that I put it in black and white. It’s just so busy with the counter top, paper, ribbon, and reflection from an empty box of cupcakes. 😉
Alas, the new goodies are here! Of course I dove in right away. I do believe that the Blackberry Bliss is my new favorite in color. There is just something about that deep purple! It seems to change color when the light hits it. If I had to guess, I would say this color is going to be big this fall.
For this card I used the Moonlight DSP stacks. There are 48 sheets in each stack and it is ONLY $6.95! The stamped image and the layer behind it are from the same paper collection. There is a wide variety of color and patter and they’re all cute! The sentiment is from the new Say Something stamp set. This set really has a little something for every event and it has a coordinating punch set which I used for the flowers on the banner. Look for the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack when you get your catalog.
Do you need a new glossy vibrant GORGEOUS 249 page catalog filled with awesome ideas?! Shoot me an email and I’ll get one mailed to you for free! Bridgette1205@aol.com
T’is Monday again! Today’s share is a gift/card combo that I made for my brand new nephew. I loved the wrapping paper and really wanted to incorporate it into my card so I used a little piece of it behind the designer frame.
The blue is Pool Party and I covered the “L” with Crystal Effects to give it a nice glossy shine. The ribbon was a scrap from Stampin’ Up but it is from a few years ago (I hoard all my crafting supplies!). The cute little Real Red heart is from the Owl Builder punch. It is the same one that is on the card.
I used the Stripes embossing folder on the Whisper White card stock and I used a retired Stampin’ Up! stamp set and colored it with my blender pen and Pool Party ink. I used a little Organza Ribbon for under the sentiment and that’s about it. I’m a little wordy here but it was an easy card and I love that it matched my gift! ❤
Happy soon to be Mother’s Day!
Here is a C.A.S.E. card. I changed up the stamp sets and matting size et voilia! An easy yet adorable Mother’s Day card. For the life of me I could not capture the color on the picture. It is not black but the lovely Midnight Muse.
I used the Teen Tiny Wishes for the sentiment and behind the butterfly is Elements of Style. Don’t you love the detail of the Beautiful Wings Embosslits? It just adds another layer of “purrty” onto the card! 😉
Happy Monday All! I know I know… You’re thinking “is there such a thing?” and the answer is YES! Especially when you see someone’s face light up when you hand them a box like this! 🙂
I used Rich Razzelberry as my main color. For my flower I used the Blossom Punch along with the Pansy Punch. The “tag” or leaves were made using My Digital Studio. There is a great tutorial I found by fellow demonstrator Jan Burnett here. It is easy to follow and all you need to get started is a 9.5 piece of card stock! As my daughter says, “easy peasy lemon squeezy”!
The box can hold up to 10 cards WITH envelopes! Can’t beat that! I’ve made another one of these as a hostess gift that I will share in a couple of days.
Have a great week! ❤
Whoops! I told a lie! I said that they next post would be a box BUT yesterday was May Day and I felt that I really needed to avoid working and running errands to make cards for all of my neighbors. Aren’t they cute little note cards? It took no time to whip up a batch (what’s up with me and constant food references?!). I used the Gingham Garden DSP and stamped with the Chalk Talk Set. As you can see I used pink or rather Melon Mambo for my ink color (OF COURSE!) 😉
I used the Fancy Flower punch and I had some Midnight Muse little butterflies stashed in a baggie from a recent project and I just threw them on for a little Je ne sais quoi.
I went to the Dollar Tree for some Jars and then bought a bouquet of flowers and split them up. The cute cards accompanied the flowers and my daughter delivered them to all the neighbors. I hope your spring is off to a good start! Ours sure is, baby girl will be here in 5 weeks. It’s countdown time!!
