Birthday Bag for Brady Boy

Hey Hey! Guess who turned 40 this past week?! Why my hubby did and I thought that the event was most worthy of a hand made gift bag. I used DSP from the Sweater Weather Collection. The Aspen like paper behind the “B” is from the Thankful Tablescapes. I punched it with the 2.5 circle punch and embellished it a bit with the Burlap Ribbon.  I trimmed the ribbon and pulled a few threads to give it a more worn look, stapled it, on et voilia!

I didn’t add any “bling” so to say. Not because he wouldn’t like it, it’s just that he wouldn’t even notice it if it were there or not! But you know me,  I have to sneak a little sparkle in somewhere, so I used Crystal Effects on the B. It looks like chip board but it is actually just layers of Chocolate Chip card stock glued together with Tombow glue. The Chocolate Chip ribbon is retired and will only make appearances for  special events like a 40th birthday because I am very very selfish with my retired goodies that I love!
