To me this card screams spring and sunshine and I could sure use it on a cold and dreary day like today! I decided to play along with Mojo Monday (http://mojomonday.blogspot.com/).
The base of this card is Basic Gray and I used three shades of yellow, So Saffron, Daffodil Delight and Crushed Curry. The DSP is Polka Dot Parade and the sentiment is from the “Oh, Hello” set. I’m loving the rhinestones and velum butterfly! And I went old school, that crackle stamp under the sentiment is a SU background stamp from 2005!
Hey Hey, guess who had some extra time to play today?! I’m playing along with the Techno Stamper Lunchtime Challenge (http://www.technostamper.blogspot.com/2014/02/monday-lunchtime-sketch-challenge-302.html)
For this sketch I used the stamp set Itty Bitty Banners along with the coordinating framelits. Naturally I went with Melon Mambo as my base. The belt in the middle is a layer on top of the Basic Black and Modern Medley DSP. The picture doesn’t show that it’s layered for some reason. Photographer error I’m sure! My flower is from the Blossom and Pansy punches and dazzled up with a Vintage Faceted button.
OOOPS! Forgot to mention the card stock is embossed with the Modern Mosaic folder. I think it ties in nicely with the DSP. Again, the detail is not pictured very well. I’m going to have to have a talk with my photographer. Tee-hee! 😉
Yep! So very negative with this card. 😉 I was cutting out pieces using the Banners Framelits Dies and really liked the left over paper and decided to use it. I used the Perfect Pennants stamp set and embossed with Melon Mambo embossing powder. For an embellishment I used the new Basic Metal Buttons (which I happen to love dearly!).
I think it may be hard to tell in the picture but I mounted the negative with dimensionals to… well… give it some dimension! 😉
School and work are finally back this week and it is quiet around the house and I can get stuff done! YES!!!
I hope you all have a very blessed day!
