Take ONE:

Take ONE

Take TWO:

Take TWO

I decided to do the sketch challenge for Create with Connie and Mary and a challenge is was! I could not get over the paper hanging over the sides! It drove me nuts; I am talking about walking around with sharp scissors kind of nuts!! I just couldn’t take it and I went after “Take Two” with a pair of scissors mauling the poor innocent card stock. I regained my composure and tried it again without the sides and breathed easy. LOL!  What can I say?! I am just a symmetrical kind of gal and this just seemed so off for me but I did it by golly!

When I was crafting I had a window open, a  cinnamon candle lit, and some old blues playing. I was definitely feeling fall! This card shouts fall for me from the colors and stamp to the “mum”.  I cut the burlap ribbon into a smaller piece and on that is my sentiment from the Take Care stamp set.  The stamp set can be used any time but I think we can all agree that this time of year is when we seem to slow down and take in all of our blessings and be thankful for all that we have. In fact, if you are reading this, I am thankful for YOU taking the time to do so! ❤

  1. I know what you mean by being symmetrical! I am the same way – lol! I do love the different styles! Great texture and beautiful colors! Thanks for playing the challenge at Create with Connie and Mary!

  2. Love the earthy tones and how you were able to pull off a feminine card with those colors. Love the texture with the embossing and the burlap ribbon. Great card! Thanks for playing the Create with Connie and Mary sketch challenge this week!

  3. Well, great job with the sketch, but I laughed when I read about cutting off the edges! I have a few customers who would say the same thing! You ROCKED the challenge, though…love all your versions! Thanks for playing along with the sketch challenge this week on Create with Connie and Mary!

  4. LOVED ALL your versions and had to laugh at reading and seeing all your versions! I LOVE hanging things off the edges….want to guess who came up with the sketch? Thanks for playing along this week in the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge!

    • Thank you Mary! Now I know who made the sketch! lol! It was fun and it is good to get out of comfort zones every now and then, even if it is just for a short time or until you can find the scissors! HaHa! 😀

  5. I love all the woodsy natural details of your card.. just perfect for fall! I think I can even smell your cinnamon candle! I had never done a card with the sides extended so I had to think about it awhile too! LOL! Your versions are all lovely and I’m so glad you joined us this week for the sketch challenge at Create with Connie and Mary!
