Hello Everyone! This week I saw a lot of cute cards on Pinterest and I noticed they all had the same layout. I knew I had to get to the bottom of it! I learned of a challenge by Freshly Made Sketches and I knew that I had to play along! Check it out here: http://freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com/
This is a 5×5 card. The base is Basic Gray card stock with one of my new favorites, Strawberry Slush. I layered the sentiment (Really Good Greetings) onto two doilies from the Perfect Pennants Die Cut. I topped it off with the Basic Gray Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon.
Anywho, I hope you like it!
Hello All! I had a need to organize my card stash and quickly! I am doing a vendor fair this weekend and needed to present my cards in a cute and organized fashion and thanks to this big boy I was able to get it done in a jiffy! Please take note of the angelic radiance beaming from said object.
That’s right folks, the Envelope Punch Board is for more than making cute cards and envelopes. It makes the perfect sized file folder for your cards and paper scraps. Unfortunately the Punch Board is selling out and will not be available for quite a while. Get yours while you can! http://www.bridgette.stampinup.net It is item #133774!
Here is my stash all organized. I am too embarrassed to show you a before picture, you’ll just have to take my word that it was card stock chaos!
I decided to do the sketch challenge for Create with Connie and Mary and a challenge is was! I could not get over the paper hanging over the sides! It drove me nuts; I am talking about walking around with sharp scissors kind of nuts!! I just couldn’t take it and I went after “Take Two” with a pair of scissors mauling the poor innocent card stock. I regained my composure and tried it again without the sides and breathed easy. LOL! What can I say?! I am just a symmetrical kind of gal and this just seemed so off for me but I did it by golly!
When I was crafting I had a window open, a cinnamon candle lit, and some old blues playing. I was definitely feeling fall! This card shouts fall for me from the colors and stamp to the “mum”. I cut the burlap ribbon into a smaller piece and on that is my sentiment from the Take Care stamp set. The stamp set can be used any time but I think we can all agree that this time of year is when we seem to slow down and take in all of our blessings and be thankful for all that we have. In fact, if you are reading this, I am thankful for YOU taking the time to do so! ❤
Ever since school started my crafting time has dwindled. NOOOOOO!!! I have got to get back on track for my sanity’s sake! Luckily my amazing upline, Christina Crawford, came to the rescue with a great idea. She mailed everyone in our swap group a blank card made with the Thinlits Card Die and challenged us all to come up with something.
This is what I came up with, using melon mambo (naturally!) and the Gingham Garden DSP. I used the Really Good Greetings stamp set and topped it off with the Melon Mambo Scalloped Ribbon. I was sad when Stampin’ Up retired it because it was my favorite and naturally I am very greedy with it! The friend who gets this card can consider themselves LOVED! 😉

Grateful Greetings Everyone! This is my take on Patty Bennett’s ingenious idea using the new Envelope Punch Board! It’s shape mimics a file folder and it is so cute!
I have denied myself buying any more seasonal paper until I use us my older scraps so I am staying strong and waiting for my Sweater Weather DSP. However, I wasn’t strong enough to resist the new Burlap Ribbon. I frayed it a bit to give it a worn look. Next came my colorful leaves using the Autumn Accents Die. They’re topped off with a naturals button. To get the little curlycues on the twine I just twisted it up nice and tight with a cooking skewer. 🙂
I made this card for my women’s group (Beta Sigma Phi). Before I moved they have a wonderful brunch for me to say goodbye. I hope this card conveys how truly grateful I am. ❤

The best things in life aren’t things, they are friends and family! I just had the most AMAZING weekend with our awesome family friends. My dear sweet Alana and I stamped our hearts out for two days with beach breaks in between. I checked my email today and learned of a new challenge so I decided to submit this card to Techno Stamper’s Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge. My colors are Rich Razzleberry and Coastal Cabana. I decided to change the shape up for this card and went for a five and a half inch square card. The stamp set is Feel Goods.
Speaking of feeling good, I hope everyone has enjoyed their holiday weekend. I love summer and will miss it but we went out with a bang this weekend and I’ve got the sunburn to prove it! 🙂
